First Scaffolding 1

Planning permission was finally granted in October 2013. The first scaffolding platforms went up in preparation for knocking out the stonework down to ground floor window level. For the french windows in the rear wall, this was of course down to ground level. In the end, probably well over half the original stone had to come out.
